This talk takes a look at the state of hiking routes in Europe and other parts of the world. We look at the different systems and traditions for marking hiking routes in different countries and compare how they are
mapped in OSM. We look at the strong and weak points of the current tagging.

What works well, what parts are still controversial. The talk is meant to jumpstart a discussion at the conference between hiking enthusiasts from different countries.
